GenAI Inventory

A GenAI inventory provides visibility into where and how generative AI is being used. It can track information such as AI applications, underlying models, users or owners, data access, integrations, approved use cases, and associated security or compliance requirements. It may include both organization-approved AI systems and unapproved or Shadow AI tools discovered within the environment.

Organizations cannot effectively govern AI systems they do not know exist. Maintaining an inventory helps security and governance teams understand their AI footprint, identify unauthorized tools, assess potential risks, assign ownership, and apply appropriate policies and controls.
