EU AI Act

The EU AI Act categorizes AI systems according to their level of risk and establishes different requirements for each category. Certain AI practices are prohibited, while high-risk systems face requirements covering areas such as risk management, data governance, documentation, human oversight, and monitoring. The Act also establishes obligations for general-purpose AI models and transparency requirements for certain AI systems.

The Act creates binding rules that can affect organizations developing, providing, deploying, importing, or distributing AI in the European market. It aims to protect fundamental rights and safety while creating a common regulatory framework for responsible AI development and adoption.
