Artificial Neural Network (ANN)

A machine learning model inspired by the human brain that consists of interconnected neurons capable of learning patterns from data.

What is an Artificial Neural Network?

An ANN consists of layers of interconnected nodes, or neurons, that process and transform input data. Most neural networks include an input layer, one or more hidden layers, and an output layer. During training, the network adjusts the weights between neurons based on prediction errors, allowing it to gradually learn patterns and improve its predictions.

Why is an Artificial Neural Network Important?

Artificial neural networks can learn complex relationships that traditional algorithms may struggle to capture. They form the foundation of deep learning and enable AI systems to process large amounts of complex data, including images, text, audio, and numerical information.

Common use cases

Artificial neural networks are commonly used in image recognition, natural language processing, speech recognition, recommendation systems, fraud detection, forecasting, and autonomous systems.
